Insurance we accept

We accept most major PPO dental insurance plans and are happy to file your claims for you, so you get the maximum benefit with the least hassle. If you're not sure whether we work with your plan, just call us at (252) 555-0147 with your insurance details and we'll verify your coverage before your visit.

No insurance? No problem.

A dental plan isn't required to receive excellent care. Many of our patients — including seasonal residents and visitors — pay out of pocket, and we'll always review costs with you in advance.

Ways to pay

  • CareCredit — a healthcare financing option with low- and no-interest plans that let you spread treatment costs over time.
  • HSA / FSA — health savings and flexible spending accounts can typically be used for dental care.
  • Transparent self-pay pricing for patients without insurance.

Understanding your estimate

Before any treatment beyond a routine visit, we'll provide a clear estimate of what your insurance is expected to cover and what your portion will be. Dental insurance can be confusing — our coordinator, Lana, is glad to walk you through deductibles, annual maximums and waiting periods in plain English.

Use your benefits before year-end

Most dental plans reset their annual maximum on January 1, and unused benefits don't roll over. If you have treatment you've been putting off, scheduling before December 31 can help you make the most of what you've already paid for.

A note on honest care

We will never recommend treatment you don't need to pad a bill. Dr. Mike Billfish practices conservatively and will always tell you when something can safely be watched rather than treated. Our goal is your long-term health and trust — not a bigger invoice.
